And what’s the deal with airplane food?

Ever notice that whenever there’s a scene in a movie or TV wherein a local television station is broadcasting a story that’s relevant to one or both of the people talking on the phone, one character calls the other and, exasperatedly utters, “Turn on Channel 13!” Then the other character does so (immediately, with no searching for the remote and no delay because they have Time Warner High Definition which may or may not be showing the germane channel at that time) and the relevant story begins just as the channel is changed? Not in the middle, not at the end, but right as the reporter speaks their first sentence?

I saw this on “The Sopranos” a few days ago. And it’s been bugging me. Now it’s bugging you. YOU’RE WELCOME.
